A pharmaceutical company is seeking a solution to help patients ESTABLISH and STICK TO a regular routine for taking a pill according to the dosing instructions.  This medicine is for a serious, asymptomatic chronic condition and must be taken upon waking up every day.

Please consider the following information about the medication, the patients, and the types of solutions we are interested in: 

Patients

• -A majority of the people taking this pill are adults ranging in age from 40-75; some have busy working lives, some are retired.
• -A number of these patients are likely to already be taking other regular medications given their age range and the fact that this medication is for a chronic condition.  Most of the other medications are taken at other timepoints, not with this new pill.

Medication Dosing Instructions for this Pill 

• -Must be taken daily upon waking up in the morning with up to 4 oz. of water
• -Patients must wait 30 minutes after taking the medication before consuming any food or other medications
• -Pills come in a blister pack with 10 pills, appx. 8" by 0.5" by 4" and pills must not be removed from the blister pack until use.  Also, the blister pack cannot be separated.  

Top Solutions

• -Top solutions will be simple, user-friendly, and can work across a broad demographic of patients.
• -Solutions could include, but are not limited to, a support tool, a digital solution, a program, a point system, or a game.
• -Top solutions will allow for individual flexibility and fit into patients' unique routines.
• -Top solutions will continue to be effective even after weeks of the patient using it. Therefore, solutions may need to be adaptive over time so that they stay as equally effective and top-of-mind for patients weeks into use as they were in the beginning.
• -The product or service could be distributed for free to patients by the company, but must be reasonably produced (at most $200 per product or service) and feasible enough to come to market in the next few years.
